We are part of it! This year again, we open our office on the occasion of HESSEN DESIGN ROUTES 2018, the festival of design of the culture and creative industry of Hesse.
From August 24. – 25. we provide insight into our work and are presenting recent projects.
July 2018
Within less than two years our client krauth technology GmbH has realised the development and manufacturing of more than 1000 toll station terminals.
We have accompanied the extensive and ambitious project in all phases of the design development and have designed the indoor, the outdoor and the point-of-sale terminal up to maturity of being manufactured in series.

The first prototypes of a new line of air purification devices that have been designed by us are presented by our client WAD International on one of the most important consumer goods fairs of Asia.

As part of the presentation of the master plan mobility in Kiel the NDR reports on the mobility stations that have been designed by us. Very soon, a network of stations with the products is expected to be set up in the city and region of Kiel.

We receive two German Design Awards. At the award ceremony on the consumer goods fair AMBIENTE in Frankfurt we are happy to accept the two awards.

On December 1, 2017 André Stocker was invited to Fridaytalk at University Kassel, chair of Prof. Dr. Stefanie Bremer.
The topics discussed in the lively podium debate on mobility were HUBS, multimodal connecting points and their possible design options.

We are very pleased about this year’s decision of the German Design Council to award our products with the coveted design prize, the German Design Award WINNER 2018. The jury awarded the board computer (kauth technology) in the category “Transportation” and the ORLAS CREATOR (O.R. Lasertechnologie) in the category “Industry”.

The KielRegion engaged us to develop a mobility concept for the city and the region. We are looking forward to this new challenge which is our 3rd mobility project in a row.

Hessen Design Routes 2017 took place from August 11 – 12. The organizer Hessen Design presented the festival of the culture and creative industry for the first time in Offenbach too. As a partner we played an active part in the event welcoming the visitors to our premises and giving an insight into our creative work.

The German Design Council has nominated our two products for the German Design Award 2018: the on-board computer (krauth technology) in the category Transportation and the ORLAS CREATOR (O.R. Lasertechnologie) in the category Industry.

“Osnabrück moves forward” – Mobility Stations in Osnabrück.
The competition works for planning and erection of mobility stations are exhibited at the martini|50 forum for Architecture & Design from March 27 to April 4, 2017.

We are the winner of non-public design competition for the design of modular components for Mobility Stations organised by the City of Osnabrück and Stadtwerke Osnabrück (in acc. to RPW, §1).
Our wide-ranging and challenging project received the first prize by unanimous consent of the expert jury.

The 3D Printer ORLAS CREATOR won the Red Dot Design Award in the category product design. The Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfahlen has awarded to our design the international prize RED DOT WINNER 2017.
The awards ceremony will take place in Essen on July 3, 2017.

At FormNext exhibition in Frankfurt, O.R. Lasertechnologie unveils its brand new metal additive manufacturing system – the compact ORLAS CREATOR. Outstanding features meet professional and modern design. The cost-effective platform is developed to cover the demand of small and medium-sized enterprises and will be available next year.

For the brand krauth technology we concepted a new, modern booth for the world´s biggest transport technology fair InnoTrans. The company showcased products designed by us, such as an on-board computer ready for series production and a new indoor toll terminal.

For this year´s fair trade Automechanika we develop, design and supervise a joint booth of Nussbaum and ATT. Our concept covers an area of 500 m². Its modern design underlines the clear and concise style of the exhibited products.

The Wiener Linien GmbH & Co. KG, the largest Austria´s transport network, awards a framework contract to krauth technology for the supply of up to 550 mobile ticket vending machines. They will be operated in all trams and will get a completely new housing design developed by us. Already in a few weeks we should have the first prototypes ready for trial operation in Vienna.

Toll Collect contracted krauth technology for the production of toll and POS terminals for the German Federal truck toll system. After winning against bigger competitors krauth technology received its largest order ever. The design of the terminal stations is entrusted to us.

The international expert jury of iF Design Award, one of the most prestigious design competitions worldwide, has awarded the highly coveted quality seal for 2016. Among more than 5000 applicants, the ORLAS STATION of O.R. Lasertechnologie has been selected as one of the proud winners of the famous iF label in the category “industry”. The glamorous awards ceremony will take place on 26 February at the “BMW Welt” in Munich.

The mobility station in Offenburg is among the winners of the competition “Good Design” in the category Product. The prize was awarded by the German Design Club e.V.

We have all reasons to be happy: the German Design Council has awarded our mobility station in Offenburg with the “German Design Award 2016, Winner” in the category Excellent Product Design/Public Design.

The mobility stations in Offenburg and LPX plastic welding system are proposed for the German Design Award.

On June 23, 2015 head mayor of the city of Offenburg opened the first of four planned mobility stations. This pioneering project serves as hubs in the mobility-chain and offers different mobility products such as e-bikes, rental bikes, car sharing, etc. Further extensions have already been planned for the coming years.

The winners in the national competition German Bicycle Award have now been determined! The bike station “Radhaus” in Offenburg was awarded with the second prize in the category “infrastructure”. The concept and design of the innovative bicycle parking tower was made in close collaboration with the city of Offenburg and the manufacturing company SMT.

krauth technology has been entitled by Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe (a transport company) to erect 25 new mobility stations. The product was designed by us in cooperation with krauth technology. The mobility station will be installed mid-year.

As every year we are delighted about new products of our long-term customer WMF at Ambiente. This time they will present a new set of cheese knifes as a complementary to the VELA series and a new trivet CHROMOZONE.

Extension of product range of O.R. Laser Technologie by introduction of a new plastic welding system named ORLAS Station.
The system convinced with its technical features like joining of thermoplastics and automatic scanner welding that improves its efficiency and flexibility.

On the transport technology fair InnoTrans in Berlin a new on-board computer of krauth technology was introduced. It convinces by its revolutionary system concept. The perfect integration of the tablet-solution with its own housing and rotating driver´s display guarantee optimal positioning in the vehicle.

For both brands Nussbaum and ATT we developed new booth for the trade fair Automechanika. We implemented modern and structured concept on the area of 750m². We carried out the development, design and realisation of the booth construction.

Green light for our mobility stations! The Transport Committee of City of Offenburg permitted the realization of the first mobility stations in the city area. Switching from bicycle to e-car or from rental car to pedelec is more attractive than ever before. Further mobility stations will be installed in coming years making easier the shift from public transport towards environment-friendly modes of mobility.

WMF recently expanded its product line VELA. The new items designed by us include four tongs, one pizza wheel cutter and one olive spoon. They are presented at the consumer goods fair Ambiente.
